Volunteers Needed
Interested in volunteering in a small or large way, we would love to have you join us. Our volunteers give tours of the inside and/or the outside of the Mansion, help serve at our Teas and Candlelight Tours, do occasional baking, donate items for sale at our gift shop, and help with our gardens. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Volunteer Opportunities at Smithville Docents Needed Trained Tour Guides We will provide your historical training. Larry Gladfelter, Docent Chair, has created a wonderful training guide to help with your training. For more information contact us or call 609-261-3295 Tea Help Join our Tea Crew for serving at our Teas. You can help by baking for the monthly teas. For more information contact Jo Stepler at 856-767-3159 Gift Shop People are needed to help in the gift shop, especially in December. We also need donated items to sell. Janice Haines manages the wonderful gift shop for out Victorian Christmas. This our main source of revenue for our restoration projects within the mansion. For more information contact Jo at 856-767-3159. Gardens and Grounds Each spring, Victorian plants are added to our grounds. New beds are being created and the enlargement of the Agnes Herbal and Medicinal Garden will be continued. If you can give any time for planning, planting, weeding, deadheading or watering contact Joan Bicker at our email site. You help is needed and would be much appreciated. Decorating If you have a Victorian flare for decorating and staging or love searching out Victorian antiques, you may want to help out our committee. Contact Joyce Wright at our email site.
